ON CREATION

In the Garden

I am preoccupied with the unseen world, the one which beats and breathes right under our very noses every minute of every day–even though it may be invisible to the eyes, it is found by intuition and felt with deft hands in the arranging of sticks and stones; solidified with a camera’s flash. I aim to capture the many essences inherit in the natural world as well as the humans that inhabit it– to reveal the soul of leaves in water; the numinous layers of life and sentience beneath the initial image. Where do the earthly and spiritual meet? That’s the point of contact I aim to share with the world.  As John Paul Sartre wrote: “There is always, at each and every moment, infinitely more than we see.”
